The melancholy and romantic sound of the piano drives the sensibility of Stefano Guzzetti, composer and pianist with a degree in Electronic Music who, after many years of work, has come to be considered one of the main players of the European neoclassical scene, with well over 32 million plays on streaming platforms. Over the years Guzzetti has focused his efforts outside Italy. The US, Germany and England are the markets that have truly embraced his compositions. It is no coincidence that Mute Song Ltd. has decided to become his exclusive publisher. Particular attention to the compositions of Stefano Guzzetti has surprisingly come from Japan, where he has performed several times with his string ensemble, including a performance for the Italian Institute of Culture in Tokyo. His international career has had important implications in Italy as well: the music of Stefano Guzzetti has conquered a great Italian brand like Dolce & Gabbana, who chose him for the soundtrack of the 2017 D&G event in Palermo, shot by the Oscar winning director Giuseppe Tornatore. With the same Milanese brand, in April 2018 the Stefano Guzzetti Ensemble performed live for the “Dolce & Gabbana – High Jewelery” evening at the New York City Public Library, hosted by the actress Sarah Jessica Parker. During the years, the most important book publisher in Italy, Einaudi Editore, commissioned him the soundtrack and the sound design for several book trailers. He has also scored various movies and documentaries as well. On 2019 July 5th his composition “1983” has been released by Deutsche Grammophon for their “XII” project, while some weeks later his composition “Reaching Out” has been released by the K7! label. His album “fleurs (a collection)”, a compilation that celebrates ten years of music, features a collaboration track with the singer Lisa Gerrard (Dead Can Dance, Golden Globe for the “Gladiator” soundtrack). He recently scored the movie “Eddie & Sunny”, directed by Desmond Devenish and featuring Gabriel Luna (“Terminator: Dark Fate”, “The Last of Us” on Netflix) and Joanna Vanderham (“The Runaway”).
